Melissa Gervais has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Melissa began their career in education, working as a Math Teacher at Maine and Florida Schools from 1996 to 2012. During this time, they took on additional responsibilities such as being the Extended Learning Opportunity Lead teacher and Saturday Success Academy Math Lead Teacher.
In 1998, Melissa transitioned into a new role as the Assistant Principal and Math Teacher at Old Orchard Beach High School. In this position, they managed and mentored new teachers, evaluated and supervised faculty and staff, and provided conflict resolution on a daily basis.
In 2012, Melissa made a career change and joined Allen Systems Group as the Executive Suite Program Manager. In this role, they reported directly to the CEO and was responsible for managing the sales initiatives of Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives. Melissa also organized data and statistics for the sales execution team and developed and delivered revenue sources and budget reports.
Melissa's most recent work experience has been with The Hertz Corporation. Melissa started in 2014 as the Sales Project Lead for Global & Strategic Accounts. In this role, they reported directly to the VP of Strategic Accounts and was involved in managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for large global corporate accounts. Melissa completed approximately 15 global RFPs per year with a total annual potential spend of $235M.
In 2015, Melissa took on a new role at The Hertz Corporation as the Sales Support Manager. Melissa later progressed to the position of Director, Sales Support in 2017 and currently holds the position of Senior Director, Sales Support which they assumed in December 2020.
Melissa Gervais pursued their education at Plymouth State University from 1992 to 1996. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Secondary Mathematics Education. Following their undergraduate studies, Melissa attended the University of Southern Maine from 2001 to 2004. Here, they obtained a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, with a focus on General Education.
