Karen M. Fowler

Karen M. Fowler has a strong background in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work. Karen M. currently holds the position of Vice President, Global Diversity Equity and Inclusion at Hexion Inc., where they lead the implementation of policies and systems to create an inclusive workplace. Prior to this role, they were the Global Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the same company, responsible for developing and executing the DEI strategy.

Before joining Hexion Inc., Karen worked as a Director at the National Diversity Council, where they provided consultation to leaders and HR Business Partners to enhance DEI capability. Karen M. also held various roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific, including Global Director, Diversity & Inclusion, and Global Senior Program Manager, leading the development and implementation of inclusive strategies.

Karen's earlier experience includes serving as Vice President on the Board of Directors at Disability:IN Ohio (formerly the Ohio Business Leadership Network), managing DEI initiatives and building partnerships. Karen M. also worked at Spectrum as Midwest Region Manager, Diversity, Inclusion, and Development, and Senior HR Business Partner/Advisor for the Midwest Region.

Prior to that, Karen held positions at The Ohio State University, Ohio Wesleyan University, Ohio University, and The Ohio University Foundation, where they focused on admissions, enrollment management, and developing diversity initiatives.

Throughout their career, Karen has demonstrated a commitment to creating inclusive environments and has expertise in strategy development, leadership engagement, and program implementation.

Karen M. Fowler holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration & International Studies from Ohio University.
