Camila Palacios

Camila Palacios has extensive experience in the field of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning in various organizations. Camila is currently working as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Accountability (MEAL) Specialist for the HIAS organization in Latin America & the Caribbean since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Coordination (Coordinación MERA) at HIAS Colombia from December 2021 to March 2023. Before that, they worked as the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Coordinator (Coordinadora MERA) at Save the Children Colombia from July 2020 to December 2021.

In addition to their work in the humanitarian sector, Camila Palacios also has experience in accountability roles. Camila worked as an Accountability Officer at Save The Children Foundation from November 2019 to July 2020, and previously as an Accountability Assistant from November 2018 to November 2019.

Before joining Save the Children Foundation, Camila Palacios worked at Corporación Opción Legal as a Professional in Accompaniment, Access, and Permanence in the Education area from June 2018 to November 2019. Camila also served as a Field Professional in Education from January 2017 to November 2019 in the same organization.

Prior to that, Camila Palacios worked as a Consultant at the Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística - DANE Colombia in 2017 and as a Programs Officer in the Cooperation area at the Organismo Internacional de Juventud para Iberoamérica (OIJ) from an unspecified start date to September 2016. Camila also completed an internship at the Organización Iberoamericana de Juventud from January to June 2014.

Camila Palacios completed their bachelor's degree in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in the years 2009 to 2013. Camila then pursued further education at the same university and completed their studies in International Relations as a student between 2009 and 2014. Finally, they enrolled at Universidad Externado de Colombia and completed their Especialización en Cooperación Internacional y Gestión de Proyectos para el Desarrollo from 2018 to 2019.
