Joyce Sirengo has a diverse work experience history. Joyce began their career as a Data Management Assistant at Comp-rite Kenya Limited in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Data Entry & Coding Clerk at AIHD and as a Protection Intern at UNHCR.

Joyce then joined Community Aid International as a Programs Assistant, where they assisted in project implementation plans and developed work-plans with objectives and targets. Joyce later worked as a Part-Time Research Consultant at the National Council in the Administration of Justice in 2014.

In 2013, Joyce worked at Removal Goods Services Kenya Limited as a Client Delivery member. Joyce also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Nairobi Enterprise Services Ltd in 2016.

From 2015 to 2016, Joyce was a part-time student at the University of Nairobi while also fulfilling the role of a Research Assistant. Joyce then joined HIAS in 2016, where they held various roles including Social Worker Volunteer/GBV Intern, Social Worker, Field Office Manager/Social Worker, and currently serves as a Sub Office Coordinator.

Throughout their work experience, Joyce has demonstrated their ability to manage programs, conduct research, and provide support services to refugees in need of psychosocial assistance.

Joyce Sirengo has an extensive education history. Joyce first attended the University of Nairobi from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Gender and Development Studies. Following this, from 2011 to 2015, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Conflict Management at the same university. In 2015, they also received a Certificate of Training in Gender Based Violence in Conflict Emergencies from the University of Nairobi.

In addition to their academic achievements, Joyce has obtained several certifications. Joyce completed a training program on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse offered by UNICEF in August 2020. In January 2020, they also obtained a certification in Problem Management Plus from HIAS and completed Hostile Environment and First Aid Training (HEFAT) conducted by Global Journalist Security during the same month. Furthermore, they hold a Certificate of Training in GBViE from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and has undergone Resettlement Theme Group Training facilitated by UNHCR, although the obtained month and year for these certifications were not provided.
