Philip Hill

Philip Hill is a Senior Software Engineer at HID Global since July 2012, specializing in the design, development, testing, and deployment of access control solutions for a global market. Concurrently, Philip has been with the FiRa Consortium since November 2019. Previously, Philip served as Team Leader/Principal Software Engineer at TVonics Solutions Ltd from August 2005 to July 2012, contributing significantly to the company's growth from startup to achieving over 500K in total sales within the UK retail sector. Earlier experience includes roles as a Validation Engineer at STMicroelectronics, where Philip enhanced test coverage for advanced security IPs, and as a Software and Hardware Engineer at Sony, working on the development lifecycle of Set Top Box products and managing hardware design for multiple models. Philip earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Birmingham in 1997.
