Vinay Shashidhar

Vinay Shashidhar has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning and research. Vinay is currently serving as the Director of Machine Learning at Hike, where they have been working since 2022. Prior to this role, Vinay was a Principal ML Scientist at Hike from 2022 to 2024.

Before joining Hike, Vinay worked at Rakuten Institute of Technology as a Staff Data Scientist from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they held positions at OYO as a Machine Learning Researcher and Senior Machine Learning Researcher from 2018 to 2020.

Vinay also has experience working as a Software Research Engineer at IBM Research, India Research Lab from 2016 to 2018. Vinay started their career at Aspiring Minds, where they worked as a Senior Research and Development Engineer from 2014 to 2016 and as a Research and Development Engineer from 2010 to 2014. During their time at Aspiring Minds, Vinay focused on building assessments and using machine learning algorithms to solve problems.

Vinay's work experience also includes a summer internship at Deloitte & Touche Tax Technologies in 2009, where they worked on ASP.NET and ADO.NET.

Vinay Shashidhar completed their Master of Technology degree in Data Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, which they attended from 2006 to 2010. Vinay'searly education took place at Green Fields School from 1993 to 2005.
