Alex Smulian has a diverse work experience in the advertising and creative industry. Alex started their career in 2005 as an Innovation Analyst at FutureBrand. From there, they worked as a Senior Copywriter at Merkley + Partners from 2007 to 2012. Alex then embarked on a freelance career as a Copywriter from 2012 to 2013. Following that, they worked at Team One, where they held the positions of Senior Copywriter from 2013 to 2016 and Associate Creative Director from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Hill Holliday as an Associate Creative Director and later on became the Creative Director in 2022. Additionally, they briefly worked as a Copywriter / Creative Director during a freelance project in 2018.
Alex Smulian obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Peace Studies from Colgate University between the years 2000 and 2004. From 2005 to 2007, Alex attended the School of Visual Arts; however, the degree obtained and the field of study pursued during this period are unknown.
