The Role – Social Media Coordinator

The Social Media Coordinator will work as part of the communications team, in close collaboration with various departments across the group, the role will help develop our channels, grow our audiences, support the business goals and generate new business leads Your typical duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Strategically review all social media channels and develop a social media schedule for our two main group brands

  • Create content for a range of channels (organic and paid for) working with the wider marketing and creative teams

  • Attend events to capture / edit / publish photo, video and copy content for all channels

  • Seek out creative content ideas to share in a timely manner across all platforms, including internally

  • Develop social media campaigns to highlight key areas of our work in line with the communications’ schedule

  • Gather and report on insights, using tracking tools to help formalise plans

  • Respond to and take part in appropriate social media conversations, increasing our engagement

What experience does a Social Media Coordinator need?

  • Proficiency in Hootsuite and Canva advantageous (or ability to quickly learn)
  • Strong mobile device photo and video capturing and editing skills are essential
  • Keenly aware of the latest trends in various ultra luxury markets such as yachting, destinations, fashion, dining, entertainment, travel and experiences, etc.
  • Excellent copywriter, able to write to various brand styles, to different target audiences
  • Able to use sound judgement in knowing what to post and when
  • Must be prepared to work flexibly over weekends/evenings to cover events and/or share content supplied by team members
