Rachel Gildiner

Rachel Gildiner has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rachel'smost recent position was as the Chief Engagement Officer at Hillel International, which they started in June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the CEO of Gather, Inc. from January 2022 to June 2023.

Rachel has also held various roles at GatherDC, where they worked as the Executive Director from April 2016 to June 2023, and as the Director from September 2014 to February 2022.

Before their time at GatherDC, Rachel had a significant tenure at Hillel, where they worked in multiple positions. Rachel was the Director of Learning for Jewish Experience from July 2013 to February 2022, and previously held the role of Associate Director, Student Engagement from July 2011 to February 2022. Rachel also served as the Associate Director for Student Engagement from an unspecified date in 2011 to June 2013.

Prior to their work at Hillel, Rachel was the Assistant Director of Partnership Campuses at Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life from September 2007 to June 2011. Earlier in their career, they held multiple positions at Hillel, including Senior Associate for the Campus Entrepreneurs Initiative (CEI) from September 2007 to June 2010, and Innovation and Implementation Associate from September 2007 to July 2008.

Rachel also has experience in development and alumni relations, having worked at Columbia University Development and Alumni Relations as an Assistant Director of Faculty Foundation Relations from January 2007 to July 2007. Prior to that, they worked at Columbia Business School as an Individual Giving and Stewardship Coordinator in 2005.

Rachel's earliest work experience can be traced back to their time as a camper and junior counselor at Camp Ramah in the Poconos, which they participated in from an unspecified date in 1993 to 2000.

Rachel Gildiner has a diverse education history in various fields. Rachel earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Sociology from Columbia University, where they studied from 2000 to 2005. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Higher Education Administration at The George Washington University, completing their studies from 2008 to 2010.

In 2013 and 2014, Rachel attended Yeshiva University, where they obtained a Certificate in Experiential Jewish Education. Additionally, they also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Modern Jewish Studies from The Jewish Theological Seminary, where they studied from 2000 to 2005, making their education history well-rounded in the field of Jewish studies.

Apart from these formal degrees, Rachel Gildiner has also pursued additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In September 2021, they obtained a certification in Systems Thinking from Cornell University. Furthermore, in March 2021, they earned a certification in Business Innovation from IDEO U, reflecting their commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
