Catherine Kendall

Public Engagement Assistant at Historic Royal Palaces

Catherine Kendall has a diverse work experience in the museum and cultural sector. Catherine started their career as a Museum Assistant at Palace Green Library in 2015. Catherine then worked as a Curatorial Assistant at Oriental Museum, Durham and as a Learning Assistant at Durham University Museums. In 2016, they joined the Science Museum Group as a Visitor Services Assistant and later moved to Historic Royal Palaces as a Public Engagement Assistant. Catherine also worked as a Learning Assistant and Assistant Site Facilitator at Historic Royal Palaces. In 2019, Catherine joined Royal Collection Trust as an Education Freelancer and Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew as a Visitor Learning Events Assistant. Catherine also worked at the Department for Work and Pensions as a Work Coach. Currently, they are working as a Family Facilitator at The British Museum since September 2021.

Catherine Kendall attended Newstead Wood School for Girls from 2004 to 2011 for their high school education. Catherine then went on to Durham University from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Archaeology and Ancient Civilizations. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Museum and Artefact Studies from Durham University from 2014 to 2015.
