Thabo Stuck

Learning Producer at Historic Royal Palaces

Thabo Stuck has a diverse work experience in various educational and organizational roles. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Learning Support Assistant at Lilian Baylis Technology School, where they supported students with additional educational needs and coordinated vocational study programs. In 2014, Thabo became involved with VINE Housing Co-operative Limited, serving as a Management Committee Representative and later as a Housing Management Representative. Thabo played an active role in decision-making, recording meeting minutes, and addressing housing-related issues.

In 2015, Thabo transitioned to St Thomas More Catholic School as a Newly Qualified Teacher, responsible for teaching and educational development. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Teaching Fellow at the Historical Association, where they contributed to the development of principles and resources for teaching British history. Thabo also briefly worked as an Executive Online Contributor for WEARECOLLISION LIMITED in 2013.

Thabo's experience expanded in 2020 when they assumed the position of Member of the Board of Trustees at The Old Vic and became a Co-Author at Hodder Education. In 2021, they became an Education Associate at The Old Vic, promoting educational initiatives. Their most recent role is as a Learning Producer at Historic Royal Palaces, which they started in 2023.

Additionally, Thabo has held various roles at The BRIT School since 2016. These include being a History Teacher, actively contributing to the success of the Humanities department, and supporting students pursuing History at university. Thabo also served as a Staff Trustee on the Board of Trustees, providing leadership and strategic decision-making. Thabo played a significant role in the Decolonising the Curriculum project, facilitating cross-departmental training and creating resources for dialogue.

Thabo Stuck completed their education in a progressive manner, focusing on history and education. Thabo first attended The Brit School from 2006 to 2008, where they pursued a BTEC Diploma/A Level in Broadcast & Digital Communication, with a specialization in History. Following this, Thabo pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History at the University of Greenwich from 2009 to 2012. Later, they furthered their education by completing a Postgraduate Degree in Education, with a specialization in History Teacher Education, at IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society from 2014 to 2015.
