Emily Greenwald has extensive work experience in historical research and academia. Emily began their career as a research assistant at Sonosky, Chambers, Sachse in 1987. Emily then worked as a teaching assistant at Yale University from 1989 to 1990 and as an acting instructor from October to December 1991. In 1993, they became an instructor at the University of Colorado and later served as a visiting assistant professor at Bowdoin College from 1994 to 1995. From 1995 to 2002, Emily worked as an assistant professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2002, they joined Historical Research Associates, Inc. as a senior historian, a position they held until 2011. Emily then progressed to become the Vice President and History Division Manager and later the President/CEO and Principal Historian, a role they held from 2018 to 2022. Currently, Emily is serving as the Principal Historian at Historical Research Associates, Inc.
Emily Greenwald obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Yale University, which they completed from 1983 to 1987. Emily further pursued their education at Yale University and earned a Ph.D. in History, which they completed from 1988 to 1994.
