Melinda "Min" Coombes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

In 2010, they worked as a Live-In Carer for Patricia White Aged Care, providing full-time care to elderly and disabled individuals in their own homes.

From 2011 to 2013, they held positions at C4 Communication Pty Ltd, where they served as an Office Manager and Personal Assistant, managing office operations, assisting directors, and coordinating company activities and events.

In 2011, Coombes transitioned to the BlueArc Group, initially starting as a Junior Project Manager and quickly progressing to a Project Manager. Melinda "Min" successfully managed web development projects for enterprise-level clients. Melinda "Min" left the company in 2013.

From 2013 to 2014, Coombes worked as a Project Manager at 12WBT, a health and fitness company. Melinda "Min" then moved on to The White Agency, where they served as a Digital Producer, working on digital projects for Lion Nathan's beer brands.

Coombes joined Razorfish Australia in 2014 as a Technical Project Manager. Melinda "Min" managed large-scale agile projects, including the development of Coles Insurance websites.

In 2014, they joined Bilue, a software consultancy, where they held multiple roles. Melinda "Min" started as an Iteration Manager, leading key projects such as the rollout of Woolworths Money iOS and Android banking applications. Coombes later became the Head of Delivery, responsible for operational initiatives and improving business performance. Finally, they served as the Head of Operations, focusing on creating an efficient and effective environment for optimal growth and service delivery. Melinda "Min" left Bilue in 2017.

In 2017, Coombes joined Atlassian as a Strategy & Operations Manager in the R&D department. Melinda "Min" later transitioned to the role of Senior M&A Integration Manager in Corporate Development, where they led post-acquisition integration programs. Coombes then became the Chief of Staff for Operations (G&A) and subsequently for Strategy & Business Operations (G&A). In these roles, they partnered with executive leaders, developed long-term strategies, drove business operations, and managed pricing and packaging. Melinda "Min" left Atlassian in 2022.

Most recently, in 2021, Coombes founded Athlete Rights Australia, an athlete-led movement supporting athletes in enforcing and advancing their rights.

Currently, they hold the position of Chief of Staff at HIVERY, starting in 2022.

Melinda "Min" Coombes pursued their education at CQUniversity from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of e-Journalism with a focus on Public Relations. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications over the years. In 2022, they completed the Governance Foundations for NFP Directors course offered by the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Melinda "Min" also completed The Start Line Director Education Course provided by Sport Australia in January 2022. In 2016, they earned a certification in Data Analytics from General Assembly. In 2007, Melinda obtained a Certificate III & IV in Fitness from the Australian Institute of Fitness. Moreover, they have pursued professional certifications in Agile Scrum methodologies, including the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO) in August 2015 and the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) in July 2014. Finally, Melinda completed the OHS Consultation Course from Courtenell; WorkCover Accredited OH&S Training in April 2011.
