Santiago Arias

Santiago Arias has a diverse work experience that spans over 15 years. Santiago started their career in 2006 as a Software Engineer at Toyota Argentina, where they focused on Java web development and implementing MVC patterns. Santiago then worked at Banco Credicoop as a Software Engineer, developing ESB using JCAPS and working with Oracle databases.

In 2008, Arias joined eyespeak LLC as a Lead Engineer, where they were responsible for developing J2EE applications and distributed systems. Santiago also gained experience in architecture design, using technologies such as Java, XML, SOAP, and RESTful services.

Arias then moved to Vostu in 2010, working as a Software Engineer, before joining QuoteMedia in 2011 as a Team Lead. At QuoteMedia, Arias focused on developing financial stock market tools and worked extensively with JVM and application servers.

In 2013, Arias joined Wall Street Systems as a Software Engineer, where they developed new products and features for the ebam project. Santiago also worked on deploying tools and automating apps and IT infrastructure.

From 2015 to 2016, Arias worked at Playtika as a Realtime Big Data Team Lead, where they played a key role in architecting the next generation data processing and analytics platform using Apache Spark and Scala. Santiago also worked on data ingestion, coding with Spark and Scala to build data processing pipelines and solutions, and interacting with other services.

In 2016, Arias joined Umewin as the CTO, focusing on technology and technical team management.

From 2018 to 2021, Arias served as the CTO at Chili Piper, followed by their role as a Founding Engineer at HockeyStack, which they started in 2023.

Santiago Arias pursued their education at the University of Buenos Aires, where they studied Computer Science from 2006 to 2010. Santiago completed a degree in Computer Science during this period. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, Santiago also obtained a Business Administration Degree from the same institution. Santiago'sfield of study during this time focused on Economics and Business.
