Jeff Vanek

Jeff Vanek has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources, spanning from 2004 to the present. Jeff began their career as a Director of Human Resources and Land Investment Manager at Zions Securities Corp./Property Reserve Inc., where they managed compliance programs and employee relations matters. In 2012, they worked as a Human Resource Consultant at GBS Benefits, Inc., advising clients on HR practices and operations. From 2013 to 2015, they built a HR department from scratch at ArbiterSports and implemented various HR initiatives. Jeff then became the Director of Human Resources at Loveland Living Planet Aquarium from 2015 to 2018, overseeing all HR responsibilities. Currently, they serve as the Director of Human Resources at Hogle Zoo, where they focus on culture building and the implementation of HR programs and policies.

Jeff Vanek has a JD degree from Willamette University College of Law. Jeff also holds a Masters of Science and Technology degree in Environmental Science - Sustainability from the University of Utah and a BS degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon. In addition to their formal education, Jeff has obtained a certification in Small Business Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Training Series from the Salt Lake Chamber in September 2022.
