Armin Gafurovic

Armin Gafurovic has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries. Armin most recently worked at Homeward as a Senior Manager of Operations Strategy, where they started in February 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Operations Strategy Manager at the same company from July 2021 to February 2022.

In 2020, Armin worked at Software AG as a Business Operations Manager from May 2020 to July 2021.

From 2017 to 2020, Armin was employed at Discovery Inc, where they held the role of Business Analysis Manager. During their time there, they served as the Business Lead for Discovery's North American e-commerce business. Armin led the vendor selection process, managed relationships to scale the business and increase sales, and implemented strategic efforts to relaunch the Discovery Store and launch Motor Trend's e-commerce store. These efforts resulted in a significant sales growth year-over-year.

Before that, Armin worked as a Search Engine Optimization Manager at LawnStarter Lawn Care from August 2016 to August 2017. Prior to that, they were a Management Consultant at Optimity Advisors from August 2014 to August 2016.

Armin's earlier experience includes an internship as an Investment Analyst at First Bank and Trust from September 2013 to May 2014, where they assisted the portfolio manager in analyzing various investments and developing price targets. Armin also worked as a Financial Management Program Intern at GE Healthcare from May 2013 to August 2013.

Armin Gafurovic has a strong educational background and additional certifications. Armin obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they pursued from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance, General from Virginia Tech, graduating in 2013.

In addition to their degrees, Armin has pursued several certifications to enhance their skillset. In October 2020, they obtained the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) certification from the Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI). Armin also holds the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which they obtained in February 2019. In December 2019, they acquired the Amazon Web Services Developer - Associate certification from AWS. Furthermore, in May 2021, Armin obtained the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from the Scrum Alliance. These certifications highlight their expertise in financial modeling, AWS, and Agile methodologies.
