Nilkantha Gholap

Nilkantha Gholap has a robust background in science education and research, currently serving as a Project Scientific Assistant - B at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) since January 2023. Prior to this role, Nilkantha worked as an Instruction Specialist at Pi Jam Foundation, teaching computer science to middle school students. Experience includes a summer research fellowship at SARSTEM, focusing on constraints on VCG models from gravitational wave merger events, and a project at GMRT Khodad analyzing frequency data. Additional notable experiences involve a summer school at PRL Ahmedabad, studying planetary missions, and an internship at IUCAA, where instruction was provided to middle school students in astronomy. Educational qualifications include an M.Sc. in Physics from Fergusson College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Maharashtra Education Society's Abasaheb Garware College of Arts and Science.
