Mike Goldsmith has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Mike currently works at Honeycomb.io as a Staff Software Engineer, where they started in February 2022. Mike also worked at LightStep as an Open Source Software Engineer from November 2019 to April 2020, where they developed and supported APM software and contributed to the CNCF OpenTelemetry project across multiple programming languages.
Before their roles at CNCF and LightStep, Mike worked at Couchbase as a Senior Software Engineer from September 2017 to October 2019. During their time at Couchbase, they primarily worked on the C# .NET SDK and contributed to various projects within the company. Mike also worked as a Software Engineer at Couchbase from September 2016 to August 2017.
Earlier in their career, Mike worked at SaleCycle as a Software Engineer from January 2016 to September 2016. Mike later took on the role of Lead Developer/Architect, where they were responsible for designing and leading the development of the second generation of the SaleCycle software. Prior to SaleCycle, Mike worked at Communicator Corp as an Application Developer from February 2008 to August 2012.
Before joining Communicator Corp, Mike worked at Agile Group Ltd as a Software Developer from November 2006 to February 2008. During their time there, they used Microsoft .NET technologies to develop software solutions that enhanced company efficiency.
Mike Goldsmith attended Teesside University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science.
