Ron Strathdee

Ron Strathdee has an extensive background in legal counsel spanning multiple industries. At Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, Ron served as Associate Counsel from 1995 to 1999. Ron then contributed to Wal-Mart Canada Corp. in various roles, first as Associate General Counsel - Real Estate from 1999 to 2006, and later as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary from 2006 to 2015, where leadership included overseeing legal, compliance, and ethics functions in a significant division with over $5B in annual revenues. Following a tenure at The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited from 2015 to September 2024 as Senior Vice President, Assistant General Counsel, and Chief Privacy Officer, Ron worked at Cushman & Wakefield as Managing Senior Counsel for Canada from September 2024 to August 2025. Currently, Ron holds the position of Director & Senior Legal Counsel, Investments at HOOPP as of September 2025. Additionally, Ron completed an Executive Development Program at The Wharton School in 2011.
