Carl Danckaert is the Senior Vice President and SBA Division Manager at Horizon Community Bank. Carl has over twenty years of experience in the banking industry, with a focus on small business lending.

Danckaert began their career at JP Morgan Chase in April 2010 as the Vice President and SBA Senior Credit Officer for New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. In this role, they mentored and coached junior credit officers in structuring credit facilities and achieved 125% production goals. Carl also partnered with business leaders to achieve the number one Small Business Administration Lender in New York.

In June 2013, Danckaert transitioned to SunTrust Bank as their Vice President, SBA Regional Credit Manager. As the Senior Credit Manager for a large regional bank with over $200 billion in assets, they were responsible for credit quality within the bank footprint throughout the Southeastern United States. Carl partnered with the National Sales Manager, Business Development Officers, Construction Administration, and National Closing Manager to become a top ten Small Business Administration lender for multiple years.

Most recently, Carl Danckaert joined Horizon Community Bank as their Senior Vice President and SBA Division Manager in July 2017. In this role, they are responsible for leading the bank’s small business lending efforts. Under their leadership, Horizon Community Bank has become a top SBA lender in Arizona.

Carl Danckaert has a bachelors degree in business management and psychology from Kent State University. Carl also has a master of business administration from Walsh Jesuit High School.
