Lead Of Teamwork And Leadership Events at HOSA Canada

Ryan Tu is an Honours Bachelor of Science student in Translational and Molecular Medicine at the University of Ottawa, currently serving as a Student Researcher at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute under the guidance of Dr. Emilio Alarcon. In this role, Ryan has contributed to projects on the photochemical synthesis of gold nanoparticles and the development of novel photosensitive hydrogel bioadhesives, supported by NSERC and University of Ottawa research awards. Ryan's leadership skills are evident in current roles at HOSA Canada, organizing large healthcare conferences and managing competitive events, alongside a customer service position with the City of Ottawa. Previously, Ryan held a leadership role in Youth Leaders in Medicine and was involved in establishing a HOSA chapter at Sir Robert Borden High School, where significant achievements included competing nationally in a biomedical event.
