Robin S. Broughton, PhD has a strong academic and scientific background, with a focus on leadership, culture, and education in the field of science. Robin S. Broughton, PhD completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Microbiology at North Carolina State University from 1992 to 1996. Later, from 1999 to 2004, they pursued a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. After obtaining their Ph.D., they engaged in Postdoctoral Fellowships in HIV Biology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 2004 to 2005 and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2006 to 2008. In February 2016, they also obtained the Federal Acquisition Certification for Contracting Officer's Representative, Level III from the Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI).
