Jon Barhorst

Jon Barhorst currently serves as the Managing Director of Strategy & Business Management at Howell Rescue Systems, Inc., starting in February 2025. Prior experience includes holding the position of Chief Risk Officer at LendingUSA from October 2019 to February 2025, where strategic initiatives were led to enhance product offerings and ensure compliance, significantly improving customer satisfaction. Jon also held multiple senior leadership roles at Synchrony from July 2014 to 2019, including SVP Portfolio Insights & Strategy and SVP & Chief Credit Officer for Retail Card, focusing on credit risk management and portfolio strategies. Prior to this, Jon spent 16 years at GE Capital in various risk management roles, culminating as Senior Vice President of Risk Management, and began a career at Bank One Corporation from 1985 to 1998 in various capacities related to risk management. Jon earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University between 1980 and 1984.
