Tero Tuomala

Tero Tuomala has over 16 years of professional work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Site Reliability Engineering Team Lead for Hoxhunt. From 2018 to 2022, they were a DevOps Lead and DevOps Engineer for Fraktio. At Fraktio, they were responsible for implementing DevOps culture and practises to in-house software developers and was involved in sales and recruitment. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Software Developer for the University of Helsinki, where they participated in daily development activities and explored and implemented technologies such as container orchestration and continuous delivery pipelines. From 2010 to 2017, they worked at Finavia as an Applications Manager and IT Systems Specialist. From 2008 to 2010, they were an IT Support Specialist for YIT. Finally, from 2005 to 2008, they were a System Support for the City of Vantaa, where they provided support, directions for use, and training for Internet and Intranet Content Management System.

Tero Tuomala obtained a Vocational Qualification in Business Information Technology from Malmi Business College between 2000 and 2003. Tero then completed a Further Qualification in Information Technology from Rastor in 2007, focusing on System Support. Between 2012 and 2014, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. In 2015, they began a Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Helsinki, which they completed in 2020. In 2018, Tuomala obtained a Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance, and in 2010, they earned an ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN.
