Emma Whelan

Emma Whelan began their work experience as a Trainee Accountant at DKC Accountants in February 2012, where they worked until October 2015. From October 2015 to May 2021, Emma worked at Asavie as the Group Financial Controller, overseeing the restructuring of the finance function, implementing new systems, and managing the sales operations team. In May 2021, they joined Axonista as the Financial Controller, and in January 2022, they were promoted to the role of Director of Finance and Operations. Emma currently holds the position of Head of Finance at HR Duo, starting in May 2023.

Emma Whelan has a diverse education history. Emma obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance from Trinity College Dublin between 2018 and 2020. Prior to that, they pursued their Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification at Independent Colleges from 2012 to 2015. Emma also holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Technological University Dublin, which they earned between 2007 and 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Emma Whelan has obtained two certifications. In November 2017, they completed a course on "Bill George on Self Awareness, Authenticity, and Leadership" through LinkedIn. Emma also completed a course on "Building Accountability Into Your Culture" from LinkedIn in the same month and year.
