Penrose (Parney) Albright

Penrose (Parney) Albright has a diverse work experience that spans across various roles and companies. Penrose (Parney) began their career as a Program Manager at DARPA from October 1999 to December 2001. Penrose (Parney) then worked as the Senior Director at the White House Office of Homeland Security from 2002 to 2003. During this time, they also held the position of Senior Director for R&D at the Executive Office of the President, and as the Director of the S&T (CBRN) Directorate Planning Team at the DHS Transition Planning Office.

In 2003, Albright joined the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as the Assistant Secretary for Science and Technology, where they served until 2005. Following this, they became the President of Civitas Group, LLC, a company that provides strategic advisory and investment services in the homeland and national security sector. Penrose (Parney) held this position from August 2005 to November 2009.

From November 2009 to November 2011, Albright worked as the Principal Associate Director for Global Security and from December 2011 to November 2013, as the Director at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Penrose (Parney) later became the Associate Director at Large at the same laboratory from December 2013 to November 2014.

Additionally, Albright served as a Senior Advisor at ODNI/IARPA from January 2014 to November 2014. Currently, they hold the position of CEO and President at HRL Laboratories, LLC, starting from November 2014.

Penrose (Parney) Albright obtained their PhD in Physics from the University of Maryland, where they studied from 1979 to 1986.
