Mark Kirby

Mark Kirby has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Mark began their career at Praxair, where they spent 17 years in various roles, including Director of Operations and Logistics. Mark then moved on to QuestAir Technologies, where they served as Vice President of Business Development, leading activities in the hydrogen and alternative energy markets. Following this, Kirby joined Ballard Power Systems as Director, initially overseeing the Cogeneration Market Segment and later transitioning to Corporate Development. At S2G Biochemical Inc, they held the position of President and CEO, utilizing proprietary technology to produce a low-calorie sweetener for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Mark also served as President and CEO at Fortress Advanced Bioproducts Inc, the biotechnology division of Fortress Global Enterprises. Most recently, Kirby held the roles of President and CEO, as well as Senior Advisor, at the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association. Mark Kirby attended The University of British Columbia from 1976 to 1982, where they obtained a BASc with Honours in Mechanical Engineering. Mark also earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechanical Engineering during the same period.
