Xun Xue

Xun Xue currently serves as the Director and Chief Architect of the Distributed Data Lab at Huawei Technologies, leading a global team of over 60 individuals focused on projects such as the development of the Taurus database service for Huawei's public cloud, which is designed for compatibility with MySQL and offers high scalability and availability. Previously, Xun worked at IBM from March 1995 to September 2016 as a Principal Architect for Geo-distributed Databases and as a Senior Technical Staff Member in both the DB2 LUW Systems of Record Development and Kernel Development teams, where responsibilities included driving the roadmap for Business Continuity features such as pureScale and HADR. Xun holds degrees from McGill University and Tsinghua University.
