Victor Shepelev

Victor Shepelev started their work experience in 2003 as a Developer at BusinessNeuroSystems. Victor then worked as a Journalist at Computerra Publishing House from November 2003 to December 2009. From 2009 to 2016, they held various roles at BrandSpotter.ru, including Team Lead and Developer. In 2016, Victor joined Toptal as a Back-End Developer until September 2017. Victor then worked at Verbit.ai as a Senior Developer from October 2017 to May 2020, and as a Principal Developer from May 2020 to October 2020. Victor also worked as a Ruby mentor at mkdev.me from September 2015 onwards. From October 2020 to August 2021, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Hubstaff, and then transitioned to the role of Software Architect from August 2021 onwards. Currently, Victor is serving as a Jr. Lieutenant in the Armed Forces of Ukraine starting from March 2023. Additionally, they have a background as a hacker and writer at Universe since February 1983.

From 1999 to 2004, Victor Shepelev pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics.
