Jan Kooy

Jan Kooy has a diverse work experience in the field of media and journalism. Jan began their career as a reporter for ALGEMEEN NEDERLANDS PERSBUREAU in 1999, where they worked until 2012. During this time, they served as a Reporter on the Foreign Desk. In 2012, Jan joined Human Rights Watch as a Press Officer and worked in that role until 2015. Jan then took on the position of Senior Press Officer, Europe, until 2018. Jan's most recent position was as the Deputy European Media Director at Human Rights Watch, which they held since July 2018.
