Anthony Black

Anthony Black has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity and software engineering. Anthony has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current position as a Lead SIEM Engineer at Humana. Prior to that, Anthony worked at LogRhythm as a Senior Software Architect, Content, where they were responsible for analyzing vendor documentation and log data to create data processing content. Anthony also created new teams and processes for data analysis and documentation. Anthony also served as a Senior SIEM Engineer at Optiv Inc, where they developed and deployed LogRhythm SIEM content based on use cases provided by Optiv Threat Research or MSS customers.

Before joining Optiv Inc, Anthony worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota as a Senior Security Engineer, overseeing security monitoring solutions and developing use cases based on mitre attack classifications. Anthony also worked at LogRhythm as a Professional Services Consultant, assisting customers with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of LogRhythm products. At HealthPartners, Anthony served as a Principal Security Analyst, taking care of internal SIEM, vulnerability management, configuration management, and two-factor authentication systems. Anthony also updated and created policies and standards related to vulnerability and configuration management.

Earlier in their career, Anthony worked at Prime Therapeutics as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they focused on configuration and vulnerability management, incident response, and the development of internal processes and policies. Lastly, they worked at Boston Scientific as a Security/Software Engineer, providing expertise in the field of security and software engineering.

Anthony Black attended ITT Technical Institute from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Security Systems. In February 2011, they obtained the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC.
