Sven Kratz

Sven Kratz is an experienced consultant and engineer specializing in deep learning, convolutional neural networks, and human-machine interfaces (HMI). Currently serving as an Independent Consultant at Humaning Inc., Sven focuses on temporospatial image interpolation and directional audio feedback synthesis. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Research Engineer at Snap Inc., where Sven engineered the UI for a biometric messaging app, and as a Senior Software Engineer at Kodiak Robotics, leading UI/UX development for autonomous trucks. Contributions to the field of autonomous vehicles extend to work at TuSimple, where Sven developed an audio-based warning system and machine learning models for trajectory prediction. Sven's career also features leadership at HARMAN International, involvement in advanced driver monitoring systems, and significant research roles at institutions such as FX Palo Alto Laboratory and Deutsche Telekom Laboratories. Sven holds a PhD in Computer Science from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and has completed a Self-Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity.
