Ali Hussain

Ali Hussain has over five years of professional experience in software engineering. Ali began their career in 2015 as an IT Intern at Kenna, where they handled helpdesk responsibilities and authored process manuals. In the same year, they also worked as a Release & QA Intern at Kik Interactive, Inc. where they led testing efforts and designed black box testing plans. In 2016, they worked as a Web Development Intern - Chat Bots Team at Kik Interactive, Inc. where they used statistical concepts to develop a live monitoring and alert system and designed an algorithm to quantify the popularity of bots. In 2017, they held two internships, one at Flexport and one at BuildZoom. At Flexport, they worked as a Software Engineer and at BuildZoom they worked as a Software Engineering Intern. Finally, in 2021, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at Hummingbird.

Ali Hussain graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Science. Following this, they attended Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 2018 to study Mathematical Sciences (Statistics).
