David Wilkinson is currently the Chief Data Officer at HUMN Behavior, a data software company, where they manage a team that builds and implements software products for data strategy, marketing, and politics. Prior to this, they worked at Delphinus Data as a Data Scientist and Founding Director, where they worked on various data science and strategy projects across sectors such as credit scoring, email outreach models, polling analysis, and data science team building in a marketing company. Before that, David served as a Data Scientist at SCL Elections, where they led a team in successful long-term client projects and developed predictive models using machine learning techniques. David also has previous experience as a Data Science Fellow at S2DS, a Senior Research Associate and PhD researcher at the University of Portsmouth, a researcher at the University of Oxford, a research placement student at the University of Cambridge, and as a Student Associate Scheme Teacher at AimHigher. Additionally, they served as the President and Observations Officer of the Oxford University Space and Astronomical Society.
David Wilkinson attended the University of Oxford from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics (MPhys). Subsequently, they continued their education at the University of Portsmouth from 2011 to 2015, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Astrophysics. In December 2014, they also obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
