Xiangyan Liu, PhD, is an Associate Professor at Hunan Normal University since September 2021, focusing on research interests such as embodied narrative as collaborative inquiry, performative writing, and teacher emotions. In addition to academic roles, Liu is the Founder of Angel Education, established in June 2015. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Peking University from May 2017 to May 2019. Educational qualifications encompass a Ph.D. in Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz (2010-2015), a Master’s Degree in Education from Peking University (2001-2004), a Master’s Degree in Asia Pacific Studies from the University of San Francisco (2006-2007), studies as a Research Student in Human Relations and Education at Keio University (2002-2004), and an exchange program in Korean Studies at Kim Il Sung Jonghap Daehak (2000). Liu completed a Bachelor's degree in Korean Studies at Peking University (1997-2001).
