Zhao Yang (Tony)

Zhao (Tony) Yang, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of biostatistics. Zhao (Tony) started their career as a Clinical Research Associate at Shanghai Loudon Marketing Consultant Co., Ltd. in 2002. Zhao (Tony) then worked as a Biostatistician at Premier Research from 2006 to 2008. From 2008 to 2012, they served as a Biostatistician II/Senior Biostatistician at IQVIA. Zhao (Tony) continued their career at UCB as a Senior Biostatistician from 2012 to 2014. Yang then joined The University of Tennessee Health Science Center as a Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biostatistics from 2014 to 2015. Zhao (Tony) worked as a Senior Lead Biostatistician/Supervisor of Biostatistics at Synteract from 2015 to 2017. Zhao (Tony) then served as the Associate Director of Biostatistics at G1 Therapeutics, Inc. from 2017 to 2019 before being promoted to Director of Biostatistics until 2020. Yang then joined Everest Clinical Research as the Director of Statistical Operations in 2020. Presently, they hold the position of Senior Director of Biostatistics at HUTCHMED.

Zhao (Tony) Yang, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from China Medical University. Zhao (Tony) then pursued their Master of Medicine from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University. Later, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biostatistics from the University of South Carolina.
