Founder and Chairman at Hyperfine

Jonathan Rothberg has extensive experience as a founder and chairman in various companies. In 2004, they founded RainDance Technologies, where they served as chairman and founding CEO until 2009. Jonathan then went on to become the founder, chairman, CTO, and CEO of Ion Torrent by Life Technologies from 2007 to 2010. In 2011, Rothberg founded Butterfly Network, Inc. and held the roles of founder, chairman, and product architect. In 2013, they founded AI Therapeutics, where they also served as chairman. In 2014, Rothberg founded both Hyperfine and 4Catalyzer, where they served as founder and chairman. In 2015, they founded Quantum-Si and Identifeye Health and held the roles of founder and chairman in both companies. Additionally, in 2015, they also became adjunct professor of genetics at Yale School of Medicine. In 2018, Rothberg founded Detect, where they also served as chairman.

Jonathan Rothberg started their education at Carnegie Mellon University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from 1981 to 1985. After completing their undergraduate studies, they went on to attend Yale University. However, the specific start and end years for their time at Yale are not available. At Yale, they worked towards obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Biology.
