Wade Gushikuma has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Wade started their career in 2010 as an Office Assistant at the Department of Transportation- Airport Division. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Student Activities Desk Assistant at Seattle University. In 2015, they briefly worked as a Pro Shop Sale Associate at the Seattle Seahawks. In 2016, they joined Hashbang Games as a Game Developer, where they brainstormed, designed, and implemented game concepts, and managed sports data using cloud databases. From 2017 onwards, they worked at Hyperspace XR as an XR Developer, creating immersive VR exhibits involving hand tracking, physical effects, and scents. Wade'sresponsibilities included collaborating with artists, integrating AI behaviors, and creating workflow improvement tools. Most recently, in 2019, Gushikuma joined HTC as a VR Prototype Engineer, where they worked on creating a production-ready interface for managing VR apps and optimizing UI and code. Wade used stencil buffer to create portal effects.
Wade Gushikuma earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering from Seattle University between 2010 and 2014. Following that, they enrolled at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) RTO 88021 where they completed an Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development specializing in Game Programming from 2014 to 2016.
