Ray Gao

Ray Gao is an experienced professional in logistics and vessel operations, currently serving as the National Operations Manager at HMM since July 2021. In this role, Ray manages vessel operations, equipment control, and logistics to maximize export lifting from the region while fostering relationships with contractors. Prior to this, Ray worked as a Central Ship Planner at DP World Australia, optimizing stowage and coordinating terminal operations. Ray's background also includes significant experience at Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. as a National Operations & Logistics Supervisor, as well as positions at Inchcape Shipping Services and Hyundai Merchant Marine. Ray holds advanced degrees in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the University of Sydney and in Banking and Corporate Finance from Macquarie University.
