Richard Seiersen

IANS CISO Faculty at IANS

Richard Seiersen has a strong background in cybersecurity and risk management. Richard is currently working as the Chief Risk Officer at Resilience, where they assist CISOs, executive teams, and the board of directors in measuring, mitigating, and managing cybersecurity risk. Prior to this, Richard worked as an IANS CISO Faculty member at IANS and served as a Startup Advisor for various security startups. Richard also co-founded Soluble, a cloud native security company, and served as the CISO and co-founder until it was acquired by Lacework. Richard has held leadership positions at LendingClub, Twilio Inc., GE Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, Qualys, and Tripwire, where they contributed to the development and improvement of cybersecurity practices and teams.

Richard Seiersen has a Bachelor's Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from California State University, Northridge. Richard also has completed Graduate Coursework in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University. In addition, they hold a Master of Arts - MA degree from John F. Kennedy University. As for certifications, Richard has obtained the CISSP, CREA, and GSNA certifications, although the institution and specific dates of obtaining these certifications are unknown.
