Karl Eberhart

Karl Eberhart has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Karl currently serves as the Principal Quality Engineer at ICU Medical, where they lead cross-functional teams in implementing root cause analysis techniques and analyzing quality monitoring data. Prior to this, Karl worked as an Advanced Quality Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, where they performed quality audits, met with customers and government officials, and reviewed documents for conformance to standards. Karl also worked as an Applications Engineer at Tapemark, where they determined program scope, wrote proposals, and contributed to R&D projects. Additionally, Karl served as a Principal Manufacturing Engineer at Medtronic and a Corporate Engineer at G & K Services, where they designed energy recovery and wastewater treatment systems and managed capital projects. Karl began their career at Donaldson Company Inc. as a Lead and Project Engineer, where they used Lean-Six Sigma principles to improve manufacturing processes, conducted failure mode effects analysis reviews, and led product development planning.

Karl Eberhart, PE, MS, PMP, CQE earned their Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis. Karl then pursued a Master's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering (ABET) from the University of St. Thomas (MN), completing it in the years 2006 to 2010.

In terms of certifications, Karl obtained their Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the State of Minnesota in December 2009. Karl also achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI in October 2012. Additionally, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the University of St. Thomas in July 2013, showcasing their expertise in process improvement methodologies.

Continuing their commitment to professional development, Karl achieved the Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification from ASQ - World Headquarters in June 2018.
