Lorena Ramirez

Lorena Ramirez is an accomplished professional in the fields of access to information and human rights, currently serving as an Access to Information and Freedom of Expression Consultant at Catedra UNESCO de Libertad de Expresión de la Universidad de Los Andes since September 2023. Previously, Ramirez has held roles as an Access to Information Specialist at IDB Invest since February 2018, and also at the Inter-American Development Bank from February 2014 to February 2018, where involvement included serving in the Access to Information Unit SEC/ATI. Prior experience includes the position of Human Rights Specialist at the Organization of American States from October 2010 to February 2014. Educational credentials include a Certificate in Creative Writing from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Studies from the University of Iowa College of Law, and a Master in Fundamental Rights, Human Rights from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
