Sela Dlamini

Partnerships Lead at IDEO.org

As a Partnerships Lead at IDEO.org, Sela leads partnership development in Nairobi and across Africa. She works closely with partners and design teams to create the conditions for impact, leveraging innovative business models to address development challenges.Sela has worked across the private, non-profit, and public sectors.

Prior to joining IDEO.org, she worked in Strategy and Planning for Cisco Systems where she spearheaded multiple business transformations. Sela started her career as part of the founding team at the African Leadership University in Mauritius. Thereafter, she spent a few years in Washington DC as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Sela holds an engineering degree from Stanford University, where she also focused on African Studies and wrote a thesis on political participation with the Center of Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law. She loves to read and write, and can often be found enjoying existential conversations with her closest friends, complete strangers, or both.
