Gerardo Rodriguez

Gerardo Rodriguez has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Gerardo most recently worked as the Director of Diversity Strategy at IDEX Corporation since April 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at United Airlines from December 2020 to April 2022. Gerardo also worked at U.S. Cellular as the Supplier Diversity Manager from July 2017 to December 2020. Before that, they were the Executive Director of the LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Illinois from March 2015 to July 2017. Gerardo also held various roles at the Chicago Urban League from February 2012 to March 2015, including overseeing entrepreneurship programs and managing the Midwest Regional Teaming Program. Earlier in their career, they worked at The d'Artagnan Group as a Principal from September 2010 to February 2012, and at the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in different roles, including Director of IL Procurement Technical Assistance Center and Associate Director of the Small Business Development Center. Overall, Gerardo has a strong background in diversity and inclusion, supplier diversity, and small business development.

Gerardo Rodriguez holds a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from Ashford University, obtained between 2020 and 2021. Gerardo also possesses a Masters of Science degree in Oriental Medicine / Acupuncture from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine-Chicago, earned between 2011 and 2014. In addition, they have a Certification in Government Contracting from Defense Acquisition University, completed from 2008 to 2010. Gerardo obtained an Executive Education Certificate in Business Management from the University of Chicago in 2009. Their undergraduate degree is a Bachelor's in English - Creative Writing, Philosophy from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, obtained between 2000 and 2004. Furthermore, Gerardo Rodriguez has a certification as an Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator from IDI, LLC, acquired in 2018.
