Ilango Thangavelu

Ilango Thangavelu has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple companies. ILANGO worked as the Director of Technology at iLenSys Technologies Pvt Ltd, where they led the development and deployment of an educational product in the field of Mechanical Engineering for the higher education segment. ILANGO also supported engineering outsourcing initiatives in the company. Prior to that, Ilango worked at Tech Mahindra as the AVP - Head of Presales for the IES PEG division. In this role, they led the presales team for various non-aero verticals, such as automotive, industrial, rail transportation, hitech, and energy & utility. ILANGO was responsible for developing sales collaterals, customer meet presentations, RFP responses, RFI submissions, and customer facilitation. Additionally, Ilango also held the position of AVP New Business Development at Tech Mahindra.

Before joining Tech Mahindra, Ilango worked at Mahindra Satyam for 14 years. ILANGO started in the company as a CAD designer and progressed to various roles such as design engineer, project leader, innovation team manager, and eventually becoming the product line manager for the GE Consumer Products account. In this role, they were responsible for driving new product development, value engineering, systems engineering, six sigma, and reliability. Ilango had a special emphasis on innovation throughout their career at Mahindra Satyam.

Ilango Thangavelu completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree in Mechanical at PSG College of Technology from 1992 to 1996. ILANGO later pursued a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Management at Bharathidasan University from 2004 to 2009.
