Fernando Alarcon is the co-founder and CEO of Ilico Genetics. Fernando has over four years of experience in the corporate finance consulting industry. Prior to Ilico Genetics, Fernando worked at Sitka Advisors as a corporate finance consultant. There, they were responsible for the strategic planning of over 10 companies in Latin America, in industries such as agroindustry, transportation, mining, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, healthcare, chemicals, real estate, among others. Fernando has also worked at ATRUS Advisors as a corporate finance consultant. Some of their notable achievements include helping to start Sitka Advisors and prospecting the first projects, as well as analyzing and re-designing the KPIs and control strategy for 2 companies. In their current role at Ilico Genetics, Fernando is responsible for leading the company's financial planning and strategy.
Fernando Alarcon has a Master of Business Administration from Villanova University, a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Finance from Universidad de los Andes (CL), and a Specialization in Business and Financial Modeling from The Wharton School. Fernando also has a certification from the University of Pennsylvania in Wharton Business and Financial Modeling Capstone, Business and Financial Modeling Specialization, Decision-Making and Scenarios, Fundamentals of Quantitative Modeling, Introduction to Spreadsheets and Models, and Modeling Risk and Realities. In addition, they have a certification from the American Sailing Association in ASA 114 - Cruising Catamaran.
