James Nelson

James Nelson has a diverse work experience in information security and IT infrastructure spanning over two decades. James currently holds the position of VP of Information Security at Illumio since January 2020. Previously, they served as the Chief Security Officer at Pivotal, Inc. from August 2016 to December 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Aruba Networks in multiple roles including Chief Information Security Officer, Director of Information Security, and Director of IT Infrastructure & Security from November 2010 to August 2016. James also has experience working at Juniper Networks, Inc. as a Senior Manager of Information Security, Manager of the Windows Architecture Team, and Systems Administrator from January 2000 to October 2010. James began their career as a Systems Administrator at AT&T in June 1997.
