Following this, they pursued higher studies at The University of Edinburgh, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Marketing Research from 1998 to 1999. Ted then continued their academic journey at The University of Edinburgh, completing their PhD in Consumer Behavior & Advertising Research from 1998 to 2001.

Ted obtained the Professional Researcher Certification (PRC) from MRA in 2006, became an IPC Master from the Insights Association in 2017, and received the Bronze Level Certification for Sales from Sandler in 2022.
