Community Needs Assessment Coordinator at Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization

An Bui's work experience includes various roles in different organizations. In 2013, An worked as an Outreach Intern for the National Park Service Golden Gate National Recreation Area, where they planned and facilitated environmental education programs and conducted outreach to underrepresented communities. From 2015 to 2016, An served as the Sustainability Manager for Associated Students at San Francisco State University, managing campaigns and organizing environmental education events. In 2016, An worked as a Research Intern at the Sustainable Agriculture Education Center, contributing to a report on San Jose's food system. They also served as a Research Assistant Intern at the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association, conducting research on land use and providing input for publications. In 2017, An worked as the Farmers' Market Access & Equity Program Associate at the Ecology Center, providing technical assistance to farmers' markets in implementing CalFresh EBT access. In 2018, An was a Research Consultant at the University of California, San Francisco Center for Community Engagement, where they co-authored a report on advancing health equity and identified best practices for workforce development. They also worked as a Development Intern at Write Around Portland in 2019. Since 2020, An has been involved with the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization, starting as a Data and Evaluation Specialist for the Community Works Project and later becoming the Data and Evaluation Coordinator. In 2022, An joined the Roots of Success Environmental Literacy & Job Training Program as the Vice President and Secretary of the Board of Directors, contributing to expanding the organization's programs and launching new initiatives.

An Bui obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and History from San Francisco State University between 2012 and 2016. In 2023, An Bui completed a Professional Certificate in Nonprofit Program Evaluation from Portland State University.
