Lauren LaPeter

Lauren LaPeter's work experience includes a role as a Scientist I at Immunologix Laboratories starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Student Intern at SGN Nanopharma Inc from April 2021 to October 2021. Lauren also served as a Graduate Microbiology Research Assistant at Dr. Xingmin Sun Lab, Department of Molecular Medicine from September 2020 to April 2021, focusing on C. difficile infections and the gastrointestinal microbiome. Lauren has experience as a Student Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Undergraduate Library from October 2019 to May 2020. Additionally, they worked as a Veterinary Volunteer at Haines Road Animal Hospital from May 2019 to August 2019. In 2018, Lauren was an Undergraduate Oncology Research Assistant at Roy Lab, Department of Integrative and Molecular Pathology, where they researched immunotherapies for brain tumors. Lauren also worked as a Hostess at The Birch and Vine from May 2016 to August 2016.

Lauren LaPeter received their Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2016 to 2020. Lauren then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the University of South Florida, spanning from 2020 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Lauren also obtained a certification in COVID-19 Contact Tracing from Coursera in July 2020.
